“The Life Before”: An abandoned barn in the Illinois rural countryside on 35mm color film by Janette Marie at The Green Bees Knees Art & Photography Studio.

All color prints are professionally printed on the client’s choice of deep matte photo paper, lustre semi-glossy photo paper, or pearl photo paper and shipped direct.

 

Some locations keep photographers up at night, fantasizing about capturing the shot in that special spot. This barn was one of those for me. I would pass it occasionally on a rural route coming home from work. She no longer exists in her former glory with only the stone foundation remaining.

This 35mm color film photograph was featured in Loosen Art’s international group exhibition March 17- 27, 2025 in Rome titled, “ECHOES OF YESTERDAY PHOTO, VIDEO AND DIGITAL VISUAL DESIGN.”
